Tooth Bleaching

Tooth bleaching is a common cosmetic dentistry procedure. Tooth bleaching is also known as teeth whitening, but there is a slight official difference; tooth whitening restores a tooth's natural color, whilst tooth bleaching whitens teeth beyond their natural color.

The are many different methods of tooth bleaching and two of the more effective methods that dentists perform are high-concentration gel and light-accelerated bleaching.

High-concentration gel tooth bleaching involves applying an oxidizing gel to the teeth with a thin plastic tray for about 20 minutes. Laser-accelerated bleaching, commonly called laser bleaching (although lasers are an old technology), involves the use of light to accelerate the bleaching process.
