CIMA Hermosillo is an acute-care hospital that was developed by CIMA Mexico and opened in May 1996. The city of Hermosillo, the capital of Sonora, is located in the Northwest region of Mexico. Its market area extends statewide to communities including Ciudad Obregón, Nogales, Caborca, Magdalena, and Guaymas with a total population (including Hermosillo) of approximately 1.8 million inhabitants.

The facility currently operates medical/surgical suites an intensive care unit and neonatal intensive care unit. In 2001, CIMA Hermosillo was awarded a five-year and a four-year accreditation 2006 by Secretaria de Salud de México; the only such accreditation in northwestern Mexico, and one of few nationwide.
