Dr. Muniz attended the University of Nuevo Leon graduating with a degree in medicine. Continuing his education, he Studied in Internal Medicine for three years at the Hospital Universitario “Dr. J. E. Gonzalez” before completing 2 Residency in Cardiology and Hemodynamics, at the National institute of cardiology “Dr. Ignacio Chávez”. Dr. Muñiz has taught undergraduate courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Post - Graduate courses in Cardiology and Hemodynamics at the University of Monterrey and Hospital UMAE 34 in Monterrey respectively, and served as Chief of Education at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología “Dr. Ignacio Chávez”. He is currently an active member of the Mexican Council of Internal Medicine, the Association of Internal Medicine of Nuevo Leon, and the Mexican Council of Cardiology.
