Medeguide is a doctor's directory that offers different paths to find your
doctor.
You can
- search directly our Top 10 doctors by specialty and country
- search for a specific treatment an get a list of doctors per
country and package
- search for specific hospitals and its affiliated doctors.
Do I need to register to get information about hospitals, doctors and
treatment packages?
No. Medeguide offers a free and open directory. You can freely browse all the
published information about doctors, hospitals and packages and, only if you
require more information or want to request an appointment you need to register
to help us gather more qualified information. Your request goes directly to the
hospital or doctor via e-mail.
How does Medeguide deal with patient information?
Medeguide does not hold any clinical information. Patients connect with doctors
and hospitals directly and Medeguide does not have access to any of this
correspondence.
What happens if the hospital/doctor does not respond my emails?
Medeguide acts as an information provider and is unable to take responsibility
for the quality of the hospital/doctors response. However, we do want to hear
about your feedback to improve our services, and we will follow up with
doctors/hospitals that have not responded.
Is Medeguide responsible for the quality of care provided by doctors and
hospitals listed in Medeguide?
Medeguide is an online directory that lists doctors and hospitals. Medeguide
does not act as a representative, intermediary or advisory institution and
therefore is not responsible for the specific result of the treatments offered.
We do, however want to hear about your feedback to improve our services.
What is JCI accreditation?
The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations known more
commonly by its acronym, JCAHO or as The Joint Commission, is an independent,
not-for-profit organization that evaluates and accredits more than 15,000
healthcare organizations in the United States. It was founded in 1951.
Joint Commission International (JCI) was founded in the late 1990s to survey
hospitals outside of the United States. JCI, which is also not-for-profit,
currently accredits facilities in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South
America. A January 2008 press release says that since 1999, JCI has accredited
more than 140 hospitals in 27 countries outside the US.
What are the criteria for doctors participating in Medeguide’s Top 10?
Medeguide's selection criteria are based on the doctor’s education, experience,
language capabilities and hospital affiliations.
Why should we place our packages on Medeguide?
Medeguide is an online marketing platform with a primary focus of providing
qualified leads to doctors and hospitals around the world. There is an
increasing number of patients searching online for their doctors and treatments.
By participating on Medeguide you will be able to improve your visibility to
those patients.
Are there any intermediaries, commissioners between the patient and the
hospital?
No. Medeguide provides a direct link between the patient and the hospital or
doctor. Patients are encouraged to request information directly from the
hospital and/or doctor and are required to register with Medeguide only to
improve the quality of the communication.
How are patients’ requests from Medeguide handled?
This is at the discretion of the hospital. Requests can be directed directly to
the selected doctor or to the Hospital's International Patients department.
How do I update information in Medeguide?
Registered hospitals and doctors have secure access to their accounts for
editing, modifying or deleting records. Information about treatment packages can
only be updated by Medeguide administrator and can be changed by following the
change treatment package process.
Is there a minimum period of time for a Medeguide eCV/Treatment Package
subscription?
eCV´s are hosted for a minimum period of 1 year. Treatment packages can be
hosted for selected periods up to six months.
How often is it necessary to update my information?
As the eCVs and treatment packages micro-sites are live you should update
changes as soon as there is an update in your information.
Why should I have an eCV on Medeguide?
